FDA-Authorized Does Not Mean FDA Approved
For tobacco products, FDA can issue a marketing order after reviewing a product through the PMTA process. That allows the specific product to be legally marketed in the United States.
It does not mean the product is safe, risk-free, or “FDA approved.” FDA evaluates tobacco marketing applications under a population-health standard that considers both users and non-users.
